Tomomi trained in homeopathy (BSc Hons Health Sciences: Homeopathy) at the University of Westminster in 2004, following her graduation in BSc (Hons) Plant Science (Biochemistry) at the University of Edinburgh. Since qualifying, she has been practicing homeopathy in central London.
In addition to her homeopathic practice, Tomomi is a Rhythmic Movement Training consultant, specialising in supporting children with special needs. She has also worked as a Doula and Massage Therapist since 2002. Her professional experience includes serving as a visiting tutor for staff at Neal’s Yard Remedies and teaching at a holistic health school in Japan. Since 2019, she has worked as an interpreter and translator, primarily within the field of homeopathy.
Tomomi’s passion for her work has been nurtured throughout her life by her love of nature and her upbringing in a family of healthcare professionals. For several years, her family home formed part of a Natural Birth Centre, where she was witnessing the journey of pregnancy and birth. She was also immersed in the life of people of all ages – from young children to the elderly – through the clinic run by her mother, making holistic healthcare a natural part of everyday life.
She moved to the UK to continue her Steiner/Waldorf education, as secondary-level Steiner education was not available in Japan at the time. She has lived in the UK ever since and continues to enjoy London’s rich culture and heritage. Among her favourite place to visit is Kew Gardens, where she spends a lot of time with her family or alone.
